Visit to Madrid control center

Last Wednesday October 31, students from the ATPL Flyschool 14 class visited the Madrid Control Center located at Torrejón de Ardoz, Madrid. ENARE public body manages air traffic in the north central region of Spain, more than half of the national territory.  Over 500 air traffic controllers work in the same building distributed across a wide room that the students could visit.

They also visited the simulators where traffic air controllers are trained regularly to maintain a high level of competence in a center where they watch, guide and control over 2000 daily flights that take off, land or cross over half of Spain.
